By far my favorite chocolate cake! One of the two cakes I baked together with my Mom and perfected as a teenager. Very nostalgic and still my favorite for good reasons.
As the name suggests, this cake celebrates rye. Cocoa, molasses and hazelnuts all sing in the background letting rye shine through, with its nutty, earthy notes. Just the right amount of sweetness and moist crumb with deep chocolate tones. A rye lovers dream come true!
